Man, I remember that Motorola brick. I was awestruck. A phone you could carry around! No cord!
We’ve come a long way in a couple of decades. Makes you wonder what the next twenty years are going to bring. Probably direct interfacing through biomechanical implants.

I remember the first time one of my friends got a cell phone; I was sort of jealous, but at the same time I kind of thought: what the heck are you ever going to use that for? Now my cell phone is my roving text message platform, calendar, alarm clock, etc. And it weighs like 4 ounces. I love the technology.

Science is really a great help to mankind. From home phones with long wires to wireless phones and now cellphones. Before it only have a few games, not so good ring tones but now you can choose the song that you want for a ring tone and there are more games to download! It even became a radio or an ipod and now a camera where you can take photos and videos. its really amazing how science can make our life easier.
nice video… hehe i got that cell phone…. wow world was changing yo bro..
Looking back on the cell phone i can not believe we used them. They look so bulky

I still have my Nokia 5110 and 3210 with me, it’s still functioning. the price of this cellphones before are too high. The cellphones really evolved. I just read an article in other blogs (I forgot the manufacturer of the cellphone) that they are actually creating a cellphone with multi media projector.
Cell phones evolved a lot, and in this video I’ve seen in every year at least one Nokia model. I think Nokia is the best cell phone ever, but now they have a strong concurrent which is Apple. Nokia 1100 is still selling nowadays in my country (Romania) and people use Nokia phones from years.
looking back at the cellphones, i realized that technology had gone so far. That everyday technology has development. One reason is that you can now access the internet through your phones. Glad to say i still have my nokia 3210, 3310, 8310, 1100 etc. and they were still working. lol!
This was truly a trip down memory lane
What fun we have had with all the various cellphones and ringtones. I can’t wait to see what will happen next - maybe a cellphone watch with an ear piece? Looking forward to more Sci-Fi cellphones to make us laugh.
i think nokia is the best cell phone brand. because this brand user friendlily..
Some of those huge phones from the early days are hilarious. My favourite has to be one from around 2003 which looked remarkably like an iron.
Does anyone remember the ones that you had to have a battery the size of a breifcase? and carry it while you were using it? Gosh, I looked so silly.
At one time multimedia smartphones were so costly that i never thought i would be able to buy one.But today the scenario has completely changed.Cellphones are become so advanced that day not far when smartphones will replace computer.
It will be interesting to see what kind of phones we can see in coming decade or century.
Its really great growth. from what was once royal is now common.
Nokia has done some great work for this I think.
5110 FTW
That video is such a blast from the past!
I only really want a mobile for talking to people but these days there are so many features it’s ridiculous, plus the phones get bigger to accomodate all the features.
I just want a nice looking slim lightweight phone that is easy to use!
I was just about to watch this and the video has been removed by YouTube
Thats a great video. Honestly when I was small i remember seeing people with these big phones that were the size of there briefcases so its really nice to see this evolution. Good job
It’s crazy how small cell phones have gotten… makes me wonder what they will be like 10 years from now!

I fit conservatories in the UK and i needed a phone that is robust and would take a beating, I have an iPhone and I use this Nokia for work and probaly will do for a long long time !!!
I remember my first cellphone.. it was a piece of crap. I’m glad they evolved.
I think Nokia is the best phone ever and good to watch this video,it will be interesting to see how different kind of phones are coming in future.
Takes you back in time to a very simple time. HAHA Can you believe how far technology has come and how much further it is going.
Looks like the video has been removed from youtube, due to violation of terms, shame. I remember my uncle used to have one of those really chunky mobiles with the battery pack - epic lol
