One of the United States Marine Corps mottoes is “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”. You should never refer to an honorably discharged Marine as an “ex-Marine” because it’s an insult. Instead, use the terms “former enlisted Marine” or “former commissioned officer Marine”.

Well I have certainly learned something on the Marine terminology as used by the US Marines. I guess every countries military has its own terminology even outside of the service

I sure wouldn’t want to use the wrong lingo with a marine. He might give me toilet swirl.

  3. Cheap Combat Boots Says:

Marines are extremely prepared for the most unbearable situations out there. They train hard and have the best equipment. A lot of young guys go to the army just because they are impressed by what a professional well trained Marine is able to do. They also have great combat boots :)
