Did you know that iguanas have very good vision. They can discern shapes and colors easily. They also are able to see in color and detect movement even at long distance. They evolved this capability so that they could navigate through forests easily and find food. They use visual means to communicate with other iguanas as well. They’re very fascinating creatures.
Yes, think well before bringing iguana home. It is a very demanding animal and one should be prepared to take a good care of it, otherwise it may suffer.

I agree you really need to take into consideration all aspects of caring for an Iguana before you purchase it. While they are cool to look at they are high demand reptiles that will require you to stay on top of their care.
I love Iguanas and agree with the above posters that there is much research to be done before endeavoring into keeping one as a pet. If cared for properly Iguanas can live around 15, 20, even 25 years, this is a big responsibility.
